Sand mines are areas where sand has been removed from through the process of sand mining. One of the reasons for sand mining is to extract minerals. Since minerals are usually found deep within the sand, the way to get to the minerals would be to remove the sand. The continuation of sand mining could potentially be dangerous because it can affect an organism's habitat as well as lead to erosion. Only saw small vegetation could be seen in the sand mine. Due to human mining, the land is flat instead of dunes.
